John R. Jacobsen, M.D.

Dr. John R. Jacobsen, M.D. an American Academy of Family Practice Board Certified physician has been with Fillmore County Medical Center, P.C. since its inception November 1, 2004. He started in private practice in Geneva in July 2003 with Dr. Charles Ashby. Dr. Jacobsen provides complete family care including pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric medicine. Dr. Jacobsen also performs ceserean sections, minor surgeries and endoscopy.

The Rural Family Practice Fellowship provides residents with additional surgical, obstetric/gynelogical (including ceasearn section) and endoscopy training with the goal of getting residents into a rural practice and keeping them there.
